The View
I love watching “The View” every morning that I can. I love to hear their gossip about celebrities and I love it when celebrities come on the show. I heard that Katherine Heigel was going to be on the show. I love her and I wish she had never left “Grey’s Anatomy.” I wanted to make sure that I watched the show that she was on. I went online tohttp://www.DirectStarTV.com/ find the show listing and the date that she would be on. Luckily, it was a day that I was going to be home and I could watch it. Seeing her on “The View” made me like her even more than I already did. She seems like she is such a normal person and so down to earth. She adopted a little girl who was there too. It was funny watching her let her two year old climb all over her. She seems like she is just a normal mom too. I am glad that I was able to watch the show with her on it. At the end of the show, she mentioned that she would be open to coming back to “Grey’s Anatomy.” I would be so happy if that happened!

Finding hubby a gift
Contribution by Terrance Kirby I haven’t been able to find my husband anything exciting for Christmas. He is a very difficult person to buy for, but I try very hard to get him something very exciting. I know it might not be exciting to some people, but this year I got him something I know he will love. Every year he talks about one of the ESPN Game Plan direct TV packages. He loves watching college football, but didn’t want to spend the money on additional channels. I know it is a splurge, but every year he talks about wishing he had it. So, I know he really wants it. Granted he will not be able to use it until next year, but at least he will have something to look forward to. I am hoping it is as great as he thinks it will be. I might regret getting him for it, when all he does is watch game after game. However, I don’t have any other ideas this year and this is the only “big” thing I could think of. |

Hubby and TV
Thanks for the post, Kathy Shelton My husband and I are all about getting a big glass of wine to share and sitting down with the www.direct.tvchannels to try and find some kind of crime drama. I really love Law and Order reruns and he’s more into CSI but we’re usually happy no matter what the other one picks. I think it’s so much fun for he and I to get watching a show and guess who did what – we’re nearly always wrong but it’s fun bonding and I know he feels the same way. I love that there are so many different types of law enforcement and since we’re both teachers by day we really don’t have any exposure to things like that unless we’re watching it on TV. I just think it’s hilarious how we don’t know a thing about being part of a police force and that we’d both clearly be terrible at being police. I can’t imagine a job that deserves more respect than what they do and I guess that’s part of why I watch. |

What to Expect
This guest post from Doris Dillon |
Gosh, I had no idea what to expect when we moved but I’ve been so pleasantly surprised! I’d never lived farther than ten minutes from my entire extended family but when my new husband got this job I knew it was time to cut the cord and move out here with him. We’ve actually had a lot of great time to reconnect so it’s been a welcome change, afterall. I’ve been doing a lot of the logistical stuff around the new townhome like looking into the wild blue deals in our area and setting up new cell service. I wish I could find a job, even something part time, but I guess that will all come with a few more weeks here. I like our new life together although I have to be honest and say I do miss my family a lot. I’m really feeling like an independent adult for the first time in my life, though, so I guess it’s all part of the natural cycle of life and getting older! |

Heading to Starbucks for Relaxing Times
Heading To Starbucks for Relaxing Times
I appreciate the guest post, Emerson Moses
One of my very favorite things to do in the winter is to go out for a cup of coffee. I love to go to Starbucks to treat myself, because even though they may be a bit more expensive, they really do have excellent coffee. The best time to go to our local Starbucks is in the morning, around 10 am. By this time everybody has already gotten their morning coffee for work, and I have a couple of hours before the crowd comes in for lunch. The kids are off to school, and I make sure that before I leave the house, that I set my home alarm system (Adt Security home systems Arizona).
I like to ! change what kind of coffee I get here and there, but I especially love the Caramel Macchiato. This drink is hot, has espresso, cream and caramel flavoring in it. I go by myself, because as much as I love to socialize, I also love to have some time to myself, and sitting in Starbucks gives that to me. I bring along a book, and spend at least and hour or more relaxing by the window with my book or in a big chair and reading. Sometimes, I take the time to catch up on my to-do list, make out Christmas cards for the holidays, or even catch up on e-mails on my laptop. Starbucks is a relaxing place that I love to frequent.
