There are also vintage homes in the historic part of town like Thorton Park, Lake Lawsona, Lake CHerokee, Lake Eola Heights and Lake Copeland. The downtown is really trdny with it's retailers, bars, discos and resturauns all within walking distance. And because you are so close to Lake Eola you can enjoy many festivals, gondola rids, and concerts. There is also a nice sports complets, theater and opera in the nieghborhood If you are looking for a family area - try Balkwin Park - a nice area with architecture touchs of the pre-40's.
